Manufacturer plans have to be bought when the device is new, and they run out. Ours do not work that way. A Nothing bought five years ago goes on a policy on the same terms as one bought last week, which matters because it is the device people are least able to be without, which is why we repair or replace rather than leaving you waiting.
What is not covered
Cover is for accidents and theft, not for the passage of time. Wear and tear, scratches that do not affect how the phone works, battery capacity dropping with age and faults that fall to the manufacturer all sit outside the policy.
